Homelessness is a huge problem in many parts of the world. There are a number of homeless people in the world who are struggling in their day to day life. However, the heartwarming actions of a few individuals who have gone out of their way to help the homeless is sure to inspire all. One such brave and kind-hearted individual is Angel Garcia Rodriguez, an eighty year old Spanish priest.

This man had opened a café called Robin Hood in Madrid.

While during lunch and dinner times it is open to the general public for a slightly higher than usual rate, at night it throws its doors open for the homeless. It allows the homeless to enjoy a three course meal with the same dignity as anyone else.

A similar action was taken by Little Caesars in New Fargo after the employees discovered a man trying to dig through the trash, desperate for a meal.

The employees tried to approach him, only for him to flee. After the failure of their attempts to approach him, they decided to try a different approach.

They decided to put up a notice that he would be able to read and take up on the offer without facing embarrassment.

The notice read “To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you’re a human being and worth more than a meal from the dumpster.

Please come in during operating hours for a couple of slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked.”

While it is not known if he accepted the offer, we can acknowledge that this small yet meaningful gesture was a great step.
